This exciting high sea adventure is a journey of discovery that exposes just some of the wonders that lie within the Komodo National Park. You’ll get to unwind on tropical beaches, marvel at sensational sunsets, explore diverse underwater realms and encounter protected creatures like the Komodo dragon. In between island hopping, time spent aboard Gammara is dedicated to relaxing on the sun deck, enjoying flavoursome meals and sleeping soundly as waves gently caress the side of the boat.

Day 1

Meeting point at the harbour

Pick up at your hotel or the airport for a meeting point at the harbour (09.30 AM). Welcome drinks served, while our guide will present you the facilities & do the briefing of safety instructions and describe the itinerary.

Kelor Island

Kelor island, is a small uninhabited island in Labuan Bajo. You will enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and unspoiled nature, get around, have a dip, hike and enjoy sightseeing. The water is clear and the sand is soft. The sea scenery is definitely top-notch.

Manjarite

Manjarite Beach is a true oasis of luxury, boasting crystal clear turquoise waters and pristine white sand that feels like velvet underfoot. The beach’s secluded location and lush greenery provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing day of sunbathing, swimming, and indulging in the finer things in life. The warm sun and gentle breeze caress your skin while the sounds of nature lull you into a state of complete relaxation.

Kalong Island

This island is keeping mystery and kept secret by the local people in particular from Labuan Bajo of Flores. It is a small island covered by mangroves. It’s the home of thousands of bats. At the end of the day, when daylight is replaced by darkness, they leave their nest to get some food. The sky will be covered by these majestic creatures.

Day 2

Padar Island

Padar Island is the third largest island in Komodo National Park after Komodo and Rinca Islands. For those who love photographic, this is perhaps the best place for spectacular photos. From the top of the hill you will enjoy a surreal panorama. It’s all surrounded by three turquoise bays, and curiously, each one of the bays’ beaches has different coloured sand: One is pearly white, another charcoal black, and a third is a very rare baby pink. It is a rare combination, a quirk of this unique island.

Pink Beach

In the morning we will relax at Pink Beach which has pink sand along its coastline. Furthermore, the pink colour is caused by the mixture of white calcium carbonate and the bright red skeletons of dead organ pipe corals which grow under its waters. Pink Beach also has various kind of amazing marine life and coral reefs. This is the perfect place to play with our full faced mask. One of most iconic spot at Komodo archipelago.

Komodo National Park

Komodo National Park is one of Indonesia’s first national parks which is a natural habitat for two key animals, the Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) the largest lizard alive and the yellow-crested cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea).

In 1991 the national park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Komodo National Park area contains over 3,000 Komodo dragons, which are dispersed throughout 5 islands: Komodo Island 1700, Padar Island 19, Nusa Island code 80, and Gili Motang, which has 60 of them. 1700 of them are adults, with the remaining being kids and teenagers.
Komodo National Park has been selected as one of the New7Wonders of Nature The waters surrounding Komodo island contain rich marine biodiversity, also a part of the Coral Triangle, which contains some of the richest marine biodiversity on Earth.

On this island travellers may see many wild animals in their real habitats; Komodo dragon, boar, Timor deers, monkeys, buffalos, goats, many species of birds and insects and also some tropical plant surround the island.

Taka Makassar

Taka Makassar is a true marvel of nature, with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine white sandy beaches. This picturesque sandbank, offers a luxurious and serene escape for travelers seeking an exotic getaway. From snorkeling amidst colorful coral reefs and schools of tropical fish, to basking in the warm sun and savoring freshly caught seafood, Taka Makassar offers a truly indulgent experience that will leave you feeling pampered and rejuvenated. Manta Point offers excellent snorkeling experience. Reefs are laying from only 2 meters to 9 meters depth. It’s the perfect place to spot manta rays, a huge marine creature that can grow up to 4 meters wide. Manta Rays are one of the endangered animals on earth. Turtles, sharks, eagle rays, giant trevallies, huge clams, various kind of sponges, and cuttlefish are marine animals you may see during your snorkeling expedition.

It’s considered as one of south-east Asia’s most idyllic islands, fully surrounded by spectacular reef. Snorkeling around Kanawa, in the pristine waters will make you discover thousands of fish species, turtles, corals and reef sharks, sometimes it is possible to see some mantas just around the arrival jetty. At the center of the island a hill guarantees astonishing 360 degrees views all over Komodo National Park, offering one of the world’s most spectacular sunsets.

Sebayur Island

In the morning, we will go to Sebayur Kecil (Small Sebayur) which faces another island, Sebayur Besar (Big Sebayur). Sebayur Kecil is a small island which offers perfect conditions for snorkeling as the beach is pretty large and the reef is from one to five meters deep. This island call as City of Turtle, a home of sea turtle especially green sea turtle and one of best dive site in Indonesia.

Day 4

Rangko Cave

Rangko Cave has been discovered just a few years ago. We will approach the village of Rangko and use the speedboat to disembark you to the shoreline. Then there is a 15 minutes’ walk to the entrance. The sunrays will be the unique natural illumination of this cavity. Your eyes will need a few minutes to accommodate to the darkness and then you will notice many stalactites and below a natural dreamlike pond where you can swim. The water is fresh and crystal clear. This is indeed a spectacular natural pool.

Inclusions & exclusions

  • Your booking will include on-board accommodation, snorkeling, on land or beach visits, meals and snacks, coffee, tea and drinking water.
  • Gammara can arrange your return hotel transport to the port of the cruise departure if your hotels are located around Labuan Bajo area. The published cruise price does not include domestic air or hotel room reservations. You will be invoiced in advance for this so you will not need to pay any of these travel expenses during your holiday.
  • The published cruise price does not include domestic air or land-transfers, soft drinks, beer, tips, gear rental, massage, courses (nitrox, advanced, photo, video), use of satellite phone, trip DVD, international or domestic air transportation, hotels and meals before and after the cruise, or personal and medical insurances.
  • Corkage fee for any liquor/alcoholic drinks by own guest

Booking & Payments

  • After contacting us with an interest to make a booking, our team will start communication by e-mail to set up your trip and provide you with an itinerary and recommendations for your international travel arrangements and accommodation prior and after the trip. Upon your confirmation, you will receive an invoice for down payment of 30% of the total cost of your trip. This deposit is non-refundable.
  • Unless paid within 2 days after receipt, the Gammara will open up your reservation for other customers. Payment must be done by wire transfer to the bank with details provided on your invoice. Any bank costs related to this transfer must be carried by the guest.
  • Final payment of the 70% balance must be done at least 2 months before your departure date. For short notice bookings made within 2 months before departure, you will have to pay the full amount due. This final payment is also non-refundable.
  • Total invoice to be paid will be in Rupiah
  • If a trip participant cannot make the trip already booked, the booking can be transferred to another person up to 5 days before departure.
  • Total cruise fee is calculated from this base price and the number of nights that make up the cruise duration.

Charter & trip confirmation terms

  • Bookings are confirmed only after Gammara has received the deposit of 30% of the cruise fee on the invoice. Rates apply on a full charter basis.
  • The area of operation varies throughout the year to offer optimal conditions for the season. If a cruise is requested outside of these schedules, a re-location fee may have to be charged to the total cost of the trip. The price of this fee will depend on the location of the charter but is generally 60% of full charter rate.

Changes (terms & conditions)

  • Gammara reserves the option to make unavoidable changes like changes in departure dates due to unexpected changes in domestic flight schedules.
  • They may also include changes to itineraries due to unexpected natural events or political unrest. Gammara team will make all effort to communicate these issues fully and to provide acceptable comfortable alternatives in full consultation with the guests.
  • When a guest wants to leave the trip before its completion, Gammara is not liable for refunds, but will make every effort to facilitate return travel of the guest.
  • We recommend for all guests to prepare sufficient insurance for emergencies.

Cancellation Policy:

In the event of cancellation, the following charges will apply:

  • More than 90 days : 25% of the total or initial deposit
  • Less than 90 days : 50% of the total package rate or non-refund of the deposit
  • Less than 45 days : 75% of the total package rate
  • Less than 30 days : 100% of the total package rate.
